Bontang Municipality's Economy Grows 2.46% in 2022

Abstract

The economy of Bontang Municipality in 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at Current Prices (ADHB) reaches 63.11 trillion rupiahs and at Constant Prices (ADHK) reaches 40.93 trillion rupiahs.

With this amount, the economy of Bontang Municipality in 2022 was recorded to grow 2.46 percent when compared to the achievements in 2021. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Financial Services and Insurance Business Field with a growth of 10.12 percent; and the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field which grew 9.22 percent.

The economic structure of Bontang Municipality is dominated by 4 (four) business fields, namely the Processing Industry Business Field with a role of 78.72 percent, the Construction Business Field with a role of 7.04 percent. Wholesale and Retail Trade, Car and Motorcycle Repair with a role of 3.32 percent, and Transportation and Warehousing Business Field with a role of 1.81 percent.

Bontang Municipality's economic growth in 2022 will experience a growth of 2.46 percent. In terms of GRDP according to business sector, growth in 2022 will be driven by all business sector sectors which have positive growth except the Mining and Quarrying Business Field which decreased by 11.21 percent compared to 2021.

In the regional scope, the PDRB of Bontang Municipality in 2022 contributes 6.85 percent to the PDRB of Kalimantan Timur Province.
