Abstract

The economy of Bontang Municipality in 2023 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at Current Prices (ADHB) will reach 68.11 trillion rupiah and at Constant Prices (ADHK) it will reach 42.63 trillion rupiah.

The economy of Bontang Municipality in 2023 will grow by 4.16 percent compared to the results in 2022. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement and Financial Services and Insurance Business Fields which grew by 17.41 percent and 10, respectively. 19 percent.

The economic structure of Bontang Municipality is dominated by 4 (four) business fields, namely the Processing Industry with a role of 78.37 percent, Construction with a role of 7.37 percent. Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair with a role of 3.39 percent, and Transportation and Warehousing with a role of 1.85 percent.

Bontang Municipality's economic growth in 2023 will experience growth of 4.16 percent. In terms of GRDP according to business fields, growth in 2023 is driven by all business sectors which grow positively except for Mining and Quarrying Business Fields which contract by 5.93 percent compared to 2022.

Within the regional scope of East Kalimantan, the GRDP of Bontang Municipality in 2023 will contribute 8.07 percent to the GRDP of East Kalimantan Province.
