Abstract

  • The increase in NTP was caused by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increasing by 0.82 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.17 percent.
  • August 2023 NTP for each sub-sector: Food Crop Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 98.97; Horticultural Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 109.05; The Smallholder Plantation Plantation Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPR) was 158.88; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 108.78; and Fishermen and Fish Farmers Exchange Rate (NTNP) of 101.35.
  • In August 2023, there are three subsectors that experienced an increase in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (0.21 percent), the horticulture subsector (1.92 percent) and the smallholder plantation crops subsector (2.05 percent). In contrast, two other sub-sectors experienced a decline, namely the livestock sub-sector (-1.70 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.53 percent).
  • The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2023 was 127.03 or an increase of 0.83 percent compared to the NTUP in July 2023 which was recorded at 125.98. There were two subsectors that experienced an increase in NTUP, namely the horticulture subsector (1.67 percent) and the smallholder plantation crops subsector (1.91 percent). In contrast, two other sub-sectors experienced a decline, namely the livestock sub-sector (-1.80 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.68 percent). Meanwhile, the NTUP for the food crops sub-sector remained.
