Abstract

  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star classification hotels in Kalimantan Timur Province in August 2022 was recorded at 60.32 percent, an increase of 18.34 points compared to the TPK in August 2021. When compared to the previous month, the TPK in August 2022 decreased by 0.91 points.
  • The total average length of stay of guests at star classification hotels in August 2022 reached 1.60 days. The average length of stay for foreign guests is 2.29 days, while the average length of stay for domestic guests is 1.59 days.
  • During August 2022, 163 foreign tourists visited Kalimantan Timur, an increase of 0.62 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month.
  • The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in August 2022 was 166,174 people, a decrease of 11.50 percent compared to July 2022. Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations rose 66.97 percent to 182 people. During January-August 2022, the number of domestic passengers was 1,340,993 people and the number of international passengers was 2,807 people, an increase of 71.09 percent and 2,059.23 percent respectively compared to the same period in 2021.
  • The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in August 2022 was recorded at 44,706 people, an increase of 7.37 percent compared to July 2022. During January-August 2022, the number of passengers reached 290,365 people, an increase of 95.45 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
