November 2024 Year on Year (y-o-y) inflation in Kalimantan Timur Province was 1.54 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 3.14 percent.

Abstract

In November 2024, year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation in Kalimantan Timur Province was 1.54 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.60. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 3.14 percent with a CPI of 107.08, and the lowest in North Penajam Paser Regency at 0.90 percent with a CPI of 106.02.
The y-o-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 2.40 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.23 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.56 percent; the health group by 5.27 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.45 percent; the education group by 1.71 percent; the food and beverage/restaurants group by 1.95 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.96 percent. Conversely, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index were: the household equipment, routine household maintenance, and repair group by 0.32 percent; the transportation group by 1.05 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.56 percent.
On a month-to-month (m-to-m) basis, there was a price index increase (inflation) of 0.08 percent in November 2024. Meanwhile, on a year-to-date (y-to-d) basis, there was an inflation of 1.16 percent in November 2024.
