Abstract

The percentage of people living in poverty in 2024 is 3.74 percent, decreased 0.37 percentage points compared to 2023. The number of people living in poverty in Bontang Municipality in 2024 is 7.11 thousand people, decreased 0.6 thousand people compared to 2023.

In 2024, the Poverty Line (GK) of Bontang Municipality is at Rp801,945.00 per capita per month or an increase of around Rp38,284.00 compared to the Poverty Line in 2023 at Rp763,661.00 per capita per month. Residents with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line are said to be poor, meaning that 3.74 percent of the population of Bontang Municipality has an average monthly expenditure of less than Rp801,945.00.
