April 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Kalimantan Timur Province is 3.21 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 3.62 percent

Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in April 2024 was 3.21 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.02. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 3.62 percent with a CPI of 107.53, while the lowest occurred in Balikpapan City at 3.06 percent with a CPI of 107.27.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 7.78 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 1.48 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 0.69 percent; Health Group of 4.92 percent; Transport Group of 2.11 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 1.79 percent; Education Group of 1.06 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 0.96 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 3.41 percent. Meanwhile, Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group recorded a deflation of 0.46 percent and Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group recorded a deflation of 0.24 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in April 2024 was 0.70 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in April 2024 was 1.56 percent.
