Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) September 2023 was 128.79 or rose at 2.25 percent compared to the NTP in August 2023

Abstract

The increase in NTP was caused by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increasing by 1.98 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.26 percent.

September 2023 NTP for each subsector: Food Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 100.40; Horticulture Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 112.30; The Smallholder Plantation Plantation Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPR) of 165.17; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 107.17; and Fishermen and Fish Farmers Exchange Rate (NTNP) is 100.05.

In September 2023, there are three subsectors that experienced an increase in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (1.45 percent), the horticulture subsector (2.98 percent) and the smallholder plantation crops subsector (3.96 percent). In contrast, two other subsectors experienced a decline, namely the livestock subsector (-1.48 percent), and the fisheries subsector (-1.28 percent).

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in September 2023 was 129.47 or an increase of 1.92 percent compared to the NTUP in August 2023 which was recorded at 127.03. There were three subsectors that experienced an increase in NTUP, namely the food crops subsector (1.00 percent), the horticulture subsector (2.44 percent) and the smallholder plantation crops subsector (3.79 percent). On the other hand, two other subsectors experienced a decline, namely the livestock subsector (-1.72 percent) and the fisheries subsector (-1.86 percent).

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2023 was 125.95 or an increase of 0.99 percent compared to the NTP in July 2023.
