Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star-class hotels in Kalimantan Timur in July 2023 was recorded at 63.04 percent, up 0.66 points compared to the previous month. When compared with the condition of the TPK in July 2022, the TPK in July 2023 has increased by 1.81 points.

The average length of stay for star-classified hotel guests in July 2023 will reach 1.61 days. The average length of stay for foreign guests reached 2.33 days, while the average length of stay for domestic guests reached 1.61 days.

During July 2023 there were 523 foreign tourists visiting Kalimantan Timur. When compared with the previous month, the number of foreign tourist visits in July 2023 increased by 33.76 percent.

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in July 2023 was 226,738 people, a decrease of 5.66 percent compared to June 2023.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations was 3,404 people, a decrease of 59.22 percent when compared to the previous month.

During January-July 2023, the number of domestic passengers was 1,510,033 people, up 28.53 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, the number of international passengers was 23,200 people or an increase of 783.81 percent.

The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in July 2023 was recorded as 51,299 people, a decrease of 3.54 percent compared to June 2023. The number of goods transported increased 29.33 percent to 8,478.10 thousand tons.

During January-July 2023, the number of passengers reached 290,686 people, an increase of 23.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022, while the number of goods transported increased 6.80 percent or reached 44,758.35 thousand tons.
