Abstract

  • Kalimantan Timur's export value in December 2022 was recorded at US$3.05 billion, down 2.09 percent compared to November 2022 exports. Compared to December 2021, the export value increased by 32.84%.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in December 2022 were recorded at US$2.63 billion, down 8.81 percent compared to November 2022.
  • Cumulatively, the value of Kalimantan Timur's oil and gas exports in 2022 reached US$ 2.99 billion, up 86.78 percent compared to 2021. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports reached US$ 33.05 billion, up 46.55 percent.
  • In terms of value, the largest decrease in non-oil and gas exports in December 2022 compared to November 2022 occurred in the mineral fuel goods category, which fell US$247.52 million (9.75 percent), while the biggest increase occurred in the fat and oil goods category which increased US$44.18 million. (23.85 percent).
  • By sector, non-oil and gas exports in 2022 increased compared to last year. Mining products increased by 55.71 percent, industrial products increased by 12.48 percent and exports of agricultural products increased by 48.59 percent.
  • The destination country with the largest non-oil and gas export value in December 2022 was to China with a value of US$826.45 million, followed by Japan with US$367.80 million and the Philippines with US$263.82 million, with the contribution of the three of them reaching 54.46 percent. Meanwhile exports to ASEAN and the European Union amounted to US$570.90 million and US$80.33 million respectively.
  • According to the port of origin of goods, Kalimantan Timur's largest exports in 2022 came from Samarinda Port with a value of US$10.01 billion (27.76 percent), followed by Balikpapan Port of US$7.73 billion (21.45 percent) and Tanjung Bara Port. US$6.33 billion (17.55 percent)
  • Kalimantan Timur's import value in December 2022 was recorded at US$590.44 million, up 9.99 percent compared to November 2022's import value. When compared to December 2021's import value, it experienced a decrease of 23.13 percent.
  • Oil and gas imports in December 2022 were valued at US$444.66 million, up 20.45 percent compared to November 2022 imports, while compared to December 2021 imports, they experienced a decrease of 25.12 percent
  • December 2022 non-oil and gas imports were valued at US$145.77 million, down 13.05 percent compared to November 2022 import values, while when compared to December 2021 import values experienced an increase of 16.34 percent.
  • The largest decline in the value of imports of non-oil and gas goods in December 2022 when compared to November 2022 imports was in the category of fertilizer goods which fell US$27.82 million. On the other hand, the biggest increase in import value was in the category of goods made of iron and steel which experienced an increase of US$2.94 million.
  • The three largest suppliers of non-oil and gas imported goods during 2022 are China US$274.89 million (15.73 percent), South Korea US$243.90 million (13.96 percent), and the United States US$240.46 million (13.76 percent). percent). Non-oil and gas imports from ASEAN amounted to US$188.95 million (10.82 percent) and the European Union amounted to US$323.86 million (18.54 percent).
  • According to the category of goods used, the value of imports in 2022 compared to the same period the previous year saw an increase in the value of raw/auxiliary materials by US$2,181.56 million (83.57 percent), while consumer goods decreased by US$1.00 million (5.46 percent). percent) and capital goods decreased by US$92.25 million (13.16 percent).
  • Kalimantan Timur's trade balance in December 2022 experienced a surplus of US$2.46 billion. The non-oil and gas sector had a surplus of US$2.48 billion. Meanwhile, in the oil and gas sector, the deficit was US$19.32 million.
