Age of living Bontang, the Age of living Bontang, which is reflected through the life expectancy has shown an increase of 72.42 years in 2010 to 73.12 years in 2013. The increase in life expectancy showed an increased level of public health in Bontang. This figure is the highest among the 3 Cities in East Kalimantan province.

Similarly, the adult literacy rate which is also the highest among the three cities in the province of East Kalimantan. In 2013, the literacy rate reached 99.25 percent Bontang. Achievements were remarkable is certainly not out of the community and the support of the Government of Bontang to continue to improve the quality of life in society.
