Abstract

  • The increase in NTP was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.09 percent, while the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.07 percent.
  • In October 2024, the NTP for each subsector is as follows: Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Food Crops (NTPP) was 101.11; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Horticulture Crops (NTPH) was 108.95; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) was 191.81; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Animal Husbandry (NTPT) was 104.89; and Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Fishery (NTNP) was 101.60.
  • In October 2024, three subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.23 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 1.29 percent and Fishery Subsector at 0.82 percent. Meanwhile, NTP in two subsectors experienced a decrease, namely Food Crops Subsector at 1.18 percent and Horticulture Crops Subsector at 1.34 percent.
  • Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in October 2024 was 143.38 or increased by 0.23 percent compared with September 2024 which was recorded at 143.05. Three subsectors experienced an increase in NTUP, namely Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.29 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 1.37 percent and Fishery Subsector at 1.66 percent and. Meanwhile, NTUP in two subsectors experienced a decrease, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.96 percent and Horticulture Crops Subsector at 1.12 percent.
