The number of domestic air transportation passengers in August 2024 decreased by 1.49 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers in August 2024 decreased by 5.25 percent from July 2024.

Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in August 2024 was 253,803 people or a decrease of 1.49 percent compared to July 2024. Meanwhile, the number of passengers to foreign destinations (international) was 4,023 people or a decrease of 0.05 percent compared to the previous month .
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing during January - August 2024 increased by 11.84 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, during January - August 2024 the number of international passengers was 34,496 people or a significant increase of 24.93 percent.
The number of domestic sea transportation passengers departing in August 2024 was recorded at 45,437 people or a decrease of 5.25 percent compared to July 2024. During the period January – August 2024, the number of passengers reached 339,401 people or an increase of 4.21 percent.
The number of goods transported in August 2024 fell 0.31 percent compared to July 2024 to 9,162.89 thousand tons. During the period January – August 2024 the number of goods transported reached 67,858.15 thousand tons.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 0.07 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 11.20 percent from August 2024.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in January 2024 decreased by 18,31 percent compared to the previous month and sea transportation passengers decreased by 24.36 percent.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in May 2024 decreased by 28.05 percent compared to April. The number of sea transportation passengers in May 2024 decreased by 54.80 percent compared to April.
