Farmer Terms of Trade in March 2024 was 137.21 or an increase of 2.55 percent compared to the NTP in February 2024

The increase in NTP was caused by a 3.59% increase in the Farmer's Price Index (It), while the Farmer's Paid Price Index (Ib) only increased by 1.01%.

NTP in March 2024 for each sub-sector:

• Food Crop Farmer's Terms of Trade (NTPP): 106.94
• Horticultural Farmer's Terms of Trade (NTPH): 119.20
• Smallholder Plantation Farmer's Terms of Trade (NTPR): 181.56
• Livestock Farmer's Terms of Trade (NTPT): 103.81
• Fishermen and Fish Farmers' Terms of Trade (NTNP): 100.54

In March 2024, four sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP:

• Food crops sub-sector (1.89%)
• Horticulture sub-sector (4.50%)
• Smallholder plantation sub-sector (3.41%)
• Fisheries sub-sector (0.66%)

On the other hand, one sub-sector experienced a decrease:

• Livestock sub-sector (-0.77%)

The Terms of Trade for Agricultural Households (NTUP) in March 2024 was 141.23, or an increase of 3.35% compared to NTUP in February 2024 which was recorded at 136.65.

Four sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTUP:

• Food crops sub-sector (2.51%)
• Horticulture sub-sector (5.31%)
• Smallholder plantation sub-sector (4.38%)
• Fisheries sub-sector (1.37%)

On the other hand, one sub-sector experienced a decrease in NTUP:

• Livestock sub-sector (-0.14%)
