Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star-class hotels in Kalimantan Timur in June 2023 was recorded at 62.38 percent, up 4.26 points compared to the previous month. When compared to the conditions of the TPK in June 2022, the TPK in June 2023 has decreased by 2.22 points.
The average length of stay for star-class hotel guests in June 2023 was 1.56 days. The average length of stay for foreign guests is 2.15 days while the average length of stay for domestic guests is 1.55 days.
During June 2023 there were 391 visits by foreign tourists to Kalimantan Timur. When compared to the previous month, the number of foreign tourist visits in June 2023 decreased by 16.09 percent.
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in June 2023 was 240,335 people, an increase of 8.42 percent compared to May 2023. Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations was 8,347 people, an increase of 100.75 percent compared to the previous month. During January-June 2023, the number of domestic passengers was 1,283,295 people, an increase of 30.01 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, the number of international passengers was 19,796 people, an increase of 686.80 percent.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in June 2023 was recorded as 53,179 people, an increase of 18.50 percent compared to May 2023. The number of goods transported increased 5.25 percent to 6,555.47 thousand tons. During January-June 2023, the number of passengers reached 239,387 people, an increase of 23.02 percent compared to the same period in 2022, while the number of goods transported increased 2.47 percent or reached 36,280.25 thousand tons.
