The percentage of poor people in September 2022 rose to 6.44 percent

Abstract

The percentage of poor people in September 2022 was 6.44 percent, an increase of 0.13 percentage points from March 2022 and an increase of 0.17 percentage points from September 2021.
The number of poor people in September 2022 was 242.30 thousand people, an increase of 6.05 thousand people compared to March 2022 and an increase of 9.17 thousand people as of September 2021.
The percentage of urban poor population in September 2022 was 4.97 percent, up from 4.80 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile the percentage of rural poor population in September 2022 was 9.71 percent, up from March 2022 which was 9.64 percent.
Compared to March 2022, the number of urban poor in September 2022 increased by 5.39 thousand people (from 123.59 thousand people in March 2022 to 128.98 thousand people in September 2022). Meanwhile, during the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas increased by 0.66 thousand people (from 112.66 thousand people in March 2022 to 113.32 thousand people in September 2022).
The Poverty Line in September 2022 was recorded at IDR 768,120/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 546,669 (71.17 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 221,451 (28.83 percent).
In September 2022, on average, poor households in Kalimantan Timur Province have 4.65 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 3,571,758/poor household/month.
