Abstract

The increase in HDI for Bontang Municipality in 2022 occurs in all dimensions, both the dimensions of longevity and healthy living, the knowledge dimension, and the dimensions of a decent standard of living.
In terms of longevity and healthy living, babies in Bontang Municipality born in 2022 have an expectation of being able to live up to 74.57 years, 0.02 years longer than those born in the previous year.
In the education dimension, in 2022 children in Bontang Municipality who are 7 years old have an expected length of schooling (to be able to undergo formal education) of 13.18 years or almost equivalent to the length of time to complete education up to Diploma I level. This figure has increased by 0 .01 years compared to the previous year which reached 13.17 years. Meanwhile, the average length of schooling for residents aged 25 years and over has increased by 0.01 years, from 10.80 years to 10.81 years in 2022.
The dimension of a decent standard of living measured based on the average real spending per capita (adjusted). In 2022 the average per capita real expenditure in Bontang Municipality is 17.327 million Rupiah, an increase of 562 thousand rupiah (3.35 percent) compared to the previous year.
