March 2020: Percentage of Poor People in Kalimantan Timur at 6.10 percent

Abstract

The number of poor people in Kalimantan Timur in March 2020 was 230.26 thousand (6.10 percent). In September 2019 there were 220.91 thousand (5.91 percent), meaning that the number of poor people had increased by an absolute 9.35 thousand people (a percentage increase of 0.19 percentage points).
During September 2019 - March 2020, the poverty line (GK) rose by 3.70 percent, from Rp. 638,690 per capita per month in September 2019 to Rp. 662,302 per capita per month in March 2020.
In September 2019 - March 2020 period, the Poverty Depth Index rose from 0.991 in September 2019 to 1.015 in the March 2020. While the Poverty Severity Index dropped from 0.242 to 0.240 in the same period.
In March 2020, the level of inequality of population expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.328. This figure is down by 0.007 points when compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio.
In March 2020, the distribution of population expenditure in the lowest 40 percent was 20.73 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality
