Abstract

A. EXPORT

  • The export value of Kalimantan Timur in May 2017 reached US $ 1.42 billion or increased by 3.50 percent compared to April 2017. Meanwhile, compared to May 2016, it increased by 30.44 percent.
  • Oil and gas exports in May 2017 reached US $ 0.34 billion, up 12.84 percent compared to April 2017, while non-oil / gas exports in May 2017 reached US $ 1.08 billion, up 0.91 percent compared to April 2017.
  • The cumulative export value of Kalimantan Timur in January-Mei 2017 reached US $ 7.10 billion or increased 30.03 percent over the same period in 2016. Of all exports from January to May 2017, oil and gas exports reached US $ 1.72 billion or increased 3.22 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 5.38 billion or an increase of 41.78 percent.

B. IMPORT

  • The import value of Kalimantan Timur in May 2017 reached US $ 0.33 billion or an increase of 59.19 percent compared to April 2017. Meanwhile, compared to May 2016, it increased by 6.35 percent.
  • Oil and gas imports in May 2017 reached US $ 0.26 billion, up 84.81 percent compared to April 2017, while non-oil imports in May 2017 reached US $ 0.08 billion, up 8.94 percent compared to April 2017.
  • The cumulative import value of Kalimantan Timur from January to May 2017 reached US $ 1.17 billion or decreased 21.48 percent compared to the same period in 2016. Of all imports from January to May 2017, oil and gas imports reached US $ 0.85 billion or decreased 20.01 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 0.32 billion or decreased 25.10 percent.
  • The trade balance of Kalimantan Timur in May 2017 was a surplus of US $ 1.09 billion, less than the April 2017 surplus of US $ 1.16 billion, thus the January-May 2017 cumulative surplus of US 5.93 billion.
